“Money does not solve money problems. Thinking solves money problems.” – Jason Tingley
When someone is able to eliminate 10’s of thousands of dollars of debt from their life, financial transformation happens. The ripple effect from this transformation changes every other area of that person’s life and this is precisely the kind of impact the Financial Fitness Program is having for so many customers around the world. We are so proud of the people who have decided to courageously defeat the status quo by embarking on a new journey towards escaping the Financial Matrix. Here is Keith and Lynn Burns story:
We didn’t know what we didn’t know. That pretty much sums up where we were at when we were introduced to the Financial Fitness Program.
We had been married for 17 years, had 2 sons, a mortgage, 2 car loans, student debt, credit card debt, sizable medical bills, and no savings account to speak of and we were living paycheck to paycheck. We lived with the mindset that we would always be in debt.
In June of 2013, Lynn was working a part-time job that offered to bring her on full-time. Like most people, we thought that we weren’t making enough money so Lynn working full-time would help our situation. Around that same time, Keith’s older brother, Mike Burns, tried to share Life Leadership and the Financial Fitness Program with us. We told him “no thanks, we’re doing pretty good.” Our hope in the new full-time income quickly faded as more money and bad thinking got us right back to a paycheck to paycheck lifestyle.
Because we failed to see the opportunity right away, God must have thought we needed a more direct message. Lynn’s hours at work were cut in half and we had to decide whether she needed a new full-time job, an additional part-time job, or a new career with more stability.
“We realized that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results was not getting us anywhere. We knew there had to be something better out there so we decided to call Mike again.”
When Mike Burns (Keith’s brother) and Dave Chatmon told us about the Financial Fitness Program and what it could do for us, we were very skeptical; however, Keith decided he would purchase it and study the material and put it to use, but only to prove that it wouldn’t work.
As we began to study the Financial Fitness book and audios, we immediately recognized that this program was different than anything else we’d ever seen. Most programs teach common sense principles such as denying yourself frivolous purchases, but they don’t elaborate on long-term sustainability and wealth creation.
“The Financial Fitness Program is all about making decisions with your money that will not only make an impact on your financial health, but create a lasting change in the way you think.”
We learned principles we had never heard such as: paying yourself first and putting it toward your savings or investing in yourself and/or your business; a debt pay down structure that made sense; the realization that you don’t always have to have a car payment; focusing your efforts by taking ownership of your financial situation. All of this was starting to make sense and because of that we began to see some results. We were motivated not only by our results but also hearing other people’s results and knowing that if we kept at it we could get debt-free.
The program also taught us to communicate with each other more and talk about our budget and where our money was going in order to run toward our goals together. The more we read, listened, learned and applied, the more our financial and marriage stress decreased.
“After 2 years of learning from and implementing the Financial Fitness Program, we were able to pay off both of our cars, all of our student loans, all of our credit cards and all of our medical bills and at the same time put money into an emergency fund and savings account. In total, we have paid off over $40,000 in debt and now we have a savings account with a comma!!!!”
If that’s not enough, about 20 months into our journey something else amazing happened. The end of the month came and while we were paying our bills we noticed we had money left over! A couple of months later, the same thing happened. Shortly thereafter, we realized we had hit our first major goal on the journey towards financial freedom. Lynn was able to walk away from her job and is now a stay-at-home mom! Our mortgage is the next to go and it will be paid off well before the estimated bank prediction.
The Financial Fitness Program has given us new hope and because of it we know our purpose is to lead more people to this information and help others escape the Financial Matrix. Our dreams and goals are now clearer than ever and with Life Leadership and the Financial Fitness Program, there is no stopping us!
Congratulations to Keith and Lynn Burns on their progress towards escaping the Financial Matrix!
